What are the differences between the various TLC Travel Protection plans?

Our travel protection plans have certain exclusions. Please read the Certificate (or Policy) of Protection carefully.

What if I cancel my trip?

TLC Travel Protection travel protection services plans will

 

reimburse you for prepaid, non-refundable lodging payments made for your trip when your cancellation falls under one or more of the reasons listed in your Policy or Certificate. View the list of covered reasons for cancellation.

Will TLC Travel Protection plans refund my travel agent service fees if my trip is cancelled for a covered reason?

Yes. You can insure any lodging service fees charged up front and invoiced by your travel agent at the time of booking. They will be reimbursed if your trip is cancelled for a covered reason.

Can travelers of all ages purchase a TLC Travel Protection Plan?

Yes.

What is a pre-existing medical condition?

It is a condition for which you, during the 180 days preceding and including the policy effective date:

  1. Received, or received a recommendation for, a diagnostic test, examination, or medical treatment, or
  2. Took or received a prescription for drugs or medicine. Item 2 of this definition does not apply to a condition that is treated or controlled solely through the taking of prescription drugs or medicine, and remains treated or controlled without any adjustment or change in the required prescription throughout the 180-day period before coverage is effective under this Policy.
